The Beginning Of Something Big

Through the whole month of March we have been waiting to see what the budget cuts would reveal. We have grown accustomed to the teacher wish lists posted on our school websites. Teachers in need of paper or pencils, dry erase markers or boxes of kleenex; but this is beyond our wildest imaginations when we finally got the word, "We are unable to include athletics in our school funding."

Some people might think these are door closing words, but not the mom's of students at various local high schools and middle schools. And hence the SOS Fun Run was born.
